I’ve been a regular here for 6 years. A post gym/dog walk/run/climbing centre/kids party bolt hole. Great bread and pastries and I’m enjoying working my way through the lunch menu.

This is a destination treat for our family. We love their coffee (locally ground Exe Coffee Roasters I believe), and this past year with lock-down, it's a manageable distance by foot to incorporate a halfway stop at Boatyard for some snacks (whatever they've got left normally by the time we get there). They've got a good space inside to socially distance, clear floor markings for 2m, pay contactless with staff the other side of a screen and a collection point on your way out. We've had pasties, pain au choc, brownies, flapjack and more. All lush. You get what you pay for, eating out is not cheap, hence the treat feeling of supporting this business on our beautiful Exeter Quay. Update Nov.'25: still an amazing venue, tried the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs for £12, an expensive treat, but predictably good.

OMG the pastries and buns here are huge and delicious. Friendly staff and always a buzz here. Right on the water's edge if you sit outside. Daily fresh bread - can be ordered if you can't get in early. A locals favourite.

I used to live very close to this cafe and come down most mornings to be greeted by a lovely staff, the smell of baked goods ( super delicious FYI, specially the croissants) and the smiling faces of everyone waiting to grab their coffee. Must recommend the apple juice and peanut butter on sale as well

Awesome. You can watch the full bakery at work as you eat and drink. Lovely spot, I had the chicken, mushroom and asparagus pie and some pastries and it was all delicious I would definitely come back again. The bread is also delicious. It is dog friendly.

One of the best bakery I have ever been to! The lamination on the croissants 10/10. We have come many times and there is regularly something different on the menu. This is easily my favourite bakery in Exeter. I always recommend friends/family to come here if they are down in Exeter!

The baked goods are one of the best in Exeter. The croissant and pain au chocolat are flaky, crispy and simply delightful. They do run out very quickly though so you need to be there early!

Lovely artisan bakery at the Quay of Exeter. They change their pastries every week, so it’s worth to go every week for a surprise! Not only pastries, they serve toasties and hot soup if you’re looking for a more hearty meal. They sell a range of bread, from sourdough to baguette to rye bread. They also serve good coffee and chai latte. It’s a lovely atmosphere indoors and dog friendly. Service are good too.

Always a queue in here which is a good sign! Despite always being busy, the service is great and you don’t wait long for a coffee. Great selection of breads baked on site and fresh pastries/buns coming out the kitchen all morning.
